OPEN CALL // FURORE FESTIVAL

FURORE goes tabula rasa. Clears the decks. Goes back to square one. Invites a dialogue with silence. Fills the vacuum. Looks for the gaps. Scans the darkness. Darns black holes. Delimits the boundless. Transcends the quantum. Argues with the echo. Makes universal politics. Gives time an ultimatum.

We, the students of the Academy of Performing Arts (ADK), would like to invite you to the third edition of FURORE, the international festival for young theatre on the campus of ADK and Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in Ludwigsburg.

This year’s theme THE VOID, deliberately leaves a blank space – leaving the decision of whether and how it can be filled to the young artists and their works.

In our student-organised festival, we want to offer international artists and visitors a space to meet, debate and discuss. Creators from different artistic fields can get to know one another, present their work, participate in seminars and discuss new forms and methods of dramatic and performing arts. Divergent forms, hybrids, new ways of performing and staging are highly welcome. Classical, performative, choreographic, cinematic, installational artworks – we looke forward to experiments of every kind.

Any interested young theatre artists can apply with their projects.

Closing date: 17th February 2020.
Selected Projects will be announce in mid-March.
